The little bird

The little bird looked down its nest,
At the despising word that lay ahead.

Mommy had warned it not to wander,
But the poor little kid never did resist.

It entered the world with whole wide dreams,
Its heart leaping with joy every moment.

Pity the little one for it never knew,
The world would rip off its soul and devastate.

They wrecked its soft feathers,
It wept over but never left.

They ruined its happy dreams,
It waited for a better tomorrow.

They ravaged it with abuses,
It stayed strong.

Finally, they razed its very soul,
Threw it away in trash,
And then it knew,
Mom was always right!
